Abstract

The FAA is adopting a new airworthiness directive (AD) for all aircraft equipped with certain Aerospace & Defense Oxygen Systems SaS portable breathing equipment (PBE). This AD was prompted by reports of occurrences of incorrect usage of certain PBEs. This AD requires incorporating revised procedures for donning the PBE. The FAA is issuing this AD to address the unsafe condition on these products.

SUMMARY: The FAA is adopting a new airworthiness directive (AD) for all aircraft equipped with certain Aerospace & Defense Oxygen Systems SaS portable breathing equipment (PBE). This AD was prompted by reports of occurrences of incorrect usage of certain PBEs. This AD requires incorporating revised procedures for donning the PBE. The FAA is issuing this AD to address the unsafe condition on these products.

DATES: This AD is effective December 24, 2025. The Director of the Federal Register approved the incorporation by reference of a certain publication listed in this AD as of December 24, 2025. The FAA must receive comments on this AD by January 23, 2026.
