Abstract
The FAA proposes to adopt a new airworthiness directive (AD) for certain The Boeing Company Model 757-200 and -200CB series airplanes. This proposed AD was prompted by an evaluation of the design approval holder (DAH) indicating that the inner skin of the lap splices, at the lower fastener row, is subject to widespread fatigue damage (WFD). This proposed AD would require an inspection or a maintenance records check for any existing repair of certain fuselage skin panels, and applicable on-condition actions. The FAA is proposing this AD to address the unsafe condition on these products.

SUMMARY: The FAA proposes to adopt a new airworthiness directive (AD) for certain The Boeing Company Model 757-200 and -200CB series airplanes. This proposed AD was prompted by an evaluation of the design approval holder (DAH) indicating that the inner skin of the lap splices, at the lower fastener row, is subject to widespread fatigue damage (WFD). This proposed AD would require an inspection or a maintenance records check for any existing repair of certain fuselage skin panels, and applicable on-condition actions. The FAA is proposing this AD to address the unsafe condition on these products.
