I am an instrument rated private pilot for SEL working on my commercial rating. Upon completed a touch-and-go operation at SPK (Runway 12), we were on the departure leg at 500' AGL when our traffic advisory came on along with a new aircraft on our ADSB which appeared to be right on-top of us at our same altitude, but I knew it was Aircraft Y that had just started holding short of the runway as we turned final for our touch-and-go. (It was the same tail number). I passed off the controls to my CFI so I could take a video of the occurrence, just as Aircraft Y overtook us to our right by not more than 300' at our same altitude. Again, never making a call.
