Aeronca Champion pilot reported not seeing traffic on final while taxiing onto runway, resulting in a runway incursion and a critical ground conflict. Landing aircraft safely executed a go-around.

I was 2nd in line to depart runway XX, airplane in front of me departed. An airplane made a 3 mile final call, then I taxied to the hold short line, and scanned for said airplane. I was flying a high wing aircraft and did not see the airplane on final, as they were directly hidden by my wing. I should have called on the radio or s-turned on the ground to check my surroundings for said airplane. Instead I made a departing call and taxied out, which is when I saw them as a I looked again. They called that they were side stepping and going around, and I took off. At that point they were on my high right side. In the future, when flying a high wing aircraft I will always s-turn to clear my wing so I can see the full final, before taxiing onto a runway. I also intend to pursue remedial training for runway incursion avoidance with a FAASTeam representative/instructor, As this was completely my fault.
