Reporter 1
At 4000', straight and level, encountered close proximity object, appeared bright white light (could've been reflection) from 1 o'clock passing by to 9 o'clock. Appeared at high speed, spotted duration of about a second or two. Could only assume drone or similar. Suggestions: Unsure of military or civilian activity.
Reporter 2
Aircraft X ZZZ-ORF While on approach to land at 4000 feet, we encountered a medium sized bright white ball which then flew across our nose within 200 ft of the plane. Cause: An unknown object which looked like a drone flew across our nose very close to the plane.
