Hawthorne Atlanta has more than 500,000 square feet of hangar space capable of accommodating up to G-650, a 6,000-square-foot passenger terminal, and first class amenities such as pilot lounges and conference facilities. Hawthorne Atlanta also features extensive services for pilots including computer flight planning, weather service and after-hours fuel and emergency services. It is a full-service fueling base, that has both Type I & IV deicing capability. Cobb County International Airport is located 20 minutes from Atlanta with easy access to I-75 and I-285 and offers the longest GA runway in Atlanta. The airport is now an international destination, with the addition of onsite U.S. Customs in June 2015. Recent airport improvements include new taxiways, and a new control tower.
