About

It operates on an Airport originally constructed for the U.S. Army Air Corps. During World War II, B-24 and B-25 bombers were based at the Airport. The Airfield was named in honor of Lieutenant William Northern who was the first Tennessee-born aviator to die in the War. Amenities The City-owned Airport contains 775 acres of land and has a 100 acre Select Tennessee site ready for development on the northwest corner of the Airport. Water, sewer service, and fiber are available. This space is open to both airfield access required and non-airfield access required business development. Ground lease agreements up to a maximum of 40 years are available.
