The Aero Club of PA was organized in December 1909 in Philadelphia for the purpose of “educating the public on matters of aeronautics”. Our goal remains intact as we: Organize Aviation-related seminars Offer Safety and aviation oriented presentations Field-trips to museums, fly-ins and aircraft manufacturing facilities, Award aviation scholarships to students interested in a career in aviation Mentor students Sponsor an annual Wright Brothers dinner Dec 17. Although The Aero Club does not own aircraft, members own aircraft, some are flight instructors, and are involved in all aspects of aviation.
