About
The Bald Eagle Flying Club is located at the Portland International Jetport (KPWM) in Portland, Maine. We are currently 40 members and own one airplane; a 1979 Cessna 172N (N4818D). This aircraft is equipped with an upgraded Lycoming O-360 engine rated @180 HP and is IFR equipped with a Garmin GTN650 and Dynon Skyview HDX. In addition to owning a 1979 Cessna 172N (N4818D), the club also owns a 1968 Piper PA-28-140. This plane is equipped with a Lycoming 0-320 Series (Reciprocating) engine rated at 180 HP. We do have a few members who are active CFIs and offer primary flight instruction and IFR instruction to the rest of our club in their spare time. We charge monthly dues and members pay for each hour of tach time, which is a wet rate.
