About
The Flying Club of Kansas City is a flying club comprised of approximately 100 members located at Johnson County Executive Airport in Olathe, Kansas and Lee's Summit Municipal in Lee's Summit, Missouri. We have been operating since 1967 (formally as the Navy Flying Club) and we currently own and operate 7 well-equipped aircraft. The Club owns two Cessna 172s, a Piper Archer, two Cessna 182s, a Piper Saratoga, and Beechcraft C33A Debonair. All planes are in great condition and well equipped. Whether you are looking for a reasonably priced trainer or a fast, high-performance cross-country machine, the Flying Club of Kansas City has you covered. The Club's current total initiation fee is $4000, and our dues are currently $125/month (effective 2/27/2023 and subject to change). Our aircraft rates are very reasonable and our quasi-dry rate structure allows Club members to control some of their costs by purchasing their own fuel. The Club hosts monthly meetings, hangar parties, and fly outs where members can socialize. We also have several safety initiatives that have contributed to the Club's excellent safety record. Please see our website for more information (including pictures of the airplanes).
