About

Our flying club began the same year the airport was built in 1962. The flying club flourished while having the nearby Oscoda-Wurtsmith Air Force Base just eight miles to the north. The base closed in 1993; however, the flying club has continued to train and support local flyers with two airplanes: an IFR capable Cessna 172 and a VFR only Cessna 150.
