About
Founded in the late-1970's the KBZN based Manhattan Flying Tigers (MFT) is one of the oldest continuously active flying clubs in the region. Currently, the club is the proud owner of the Cessna 172 aircraft: N80830 is a 1976 "M" Model with a mild STOL Kit and N2330E a 1978 "N" Model. Both aircraft are powered by 180 horsepower Lycoming O-320 engines. Both aircraft are wholly owned by the club and are insured. In 2022, N2330E had a digital flight display and IFR GPS installed. MFT is active within the Montana flying community and holds monthly meetings beginning September and ending in June. We have a July picnic at the airport shelter for general aviation flyers and do not meet at all in August. The monthly meetings are on the first Tuesday of each month at 7:00PM in the KBZN old terminal building (across the parking lot (north) from the control tower and north of Jet Aviation). Maximum members allowed for the two planes are 40. Often times our membership is at its maximum of 40. Come join us at one of our meetings or view our website at www.bozemanflyingclub.com for more information.
