About
Orange County Flyers, Inc. was founded in 1959, making it one of the oldest flying clubs in Southern California. The original members formed the flying club to encourage interest in aviation; to promote safe and economical flying for its members; to assist its members to advance in the field of aviation, and these are the goals we still maintain. Orange County Flyers currently has an active group of members utilizing the club’s meticulously maintained Cessna 172N, which is hangered on the east side of John Wayne Airport (KSNA), Orange County, Southern California. Our AOPA listed flying club usually holds a meeting at 7:00 p.m. on the 2nd Thursday of each month. Contact our club officers for the next meeting date and time. Are you looking to become part of an energetic group of pilots; participate in club activities; increase your flight proficiency, and would enjoy flying in the skies over beautiful Southern California? If flying was in your past and you wish you could fly again, then Orange County Flyers might be the ideal club for you. We have a cross section of members from varying backgrounds and levels of experience - private pilots, instrument rated pilots, through to commercial pilots and active flight instructors.
