About
The Orlando Aero Club (OAC), established in 1967, is one of Florida's largest member-owned flying clubs. The Orlando Aero Club is strictly an owner/operator organization. Each active member owns one (1) share of stock ownership in the Club, is entitled to a single vote and is a partial owner of all Club assets. We are not a flight training organization nor do we rent our aircraft. While we welcome all who are interested in aviation, we are looking for long term member owners. We are based on the northeast corner of the Atlantic Aviation ramp at Orlando Executive Airport (KORL). The Club currently operates three (3) aircraft with an allowable membership of twenty (20) pilots per aircraft. One of the more unique aircraft available in the Club is the Citabria (7GCAA), an excellent aircraft for obtaining your tail-wheel endorsement and learning aerobatics. All aircraft are professionally maintained and serviced by Orlando Aircraft Services. As with all flying organizations, training is an important aspect of the Orlando Aero Club. Yearly check rides for all member-owners are required. In addition, should a member owner desire to advance his ratings, both initial and recurrent training is available for our member/owners from Certified Flight Instructors who are member owners of the Orlando Aero Club.
