About
The RPM Flying Club was formed in 1972 as a Not-For-Profit Corporation. It consists of a group of student, private, commercial, and ATP pilots who share the cost of aircraft ownership. We currently have two aircraft. A 1981 Cessna 172 fully IFR equipped with the following Garmin equipment: G-430W, a GTX 345 transponder-ADS-B in and out transponder, G5 HSI/attitude indicator. It also has an engine monitoring system. A 1972 Piper Cherokee 140 with an upgraded 160 H.P. engine. It has a Garmin G5 HSI/attitude indicator and also an engine monitoring system. Currently we charge an initial $500.00 to join and the applicant must pass a flight review with one of our Flight Instructors (CFI). The current monthly dues are $110.00, plus $85.00 per hour for the C172 and $75.00 per hour for the PA28-140. These rates are “DRY” Hobbs Hours without fuel. Fuel is additional and is at the expense of the pilot. Fuel can be purchased at Lansing Airport by either self-serve or full service from the FBO. We have a mechanic on the field who maintains our planes in good operating condition. When something needs attending to, our mechanic is very prompt at servicing our Club. If interested, please contact the Club to inquire about membership. The RPM Flying Club is dedicated to providing safe aircraft at very reasonable rates. We are looking for pilots to share our passion for safe and fun flying. We invite you to check us out! For further information regarding potential membership, contact the Club President or Membership Chairman at the email addresses listed in the contacts above.
