A Flying Club based at McNary Field in Salem, Oregon (SLE) The oldest continuously operating flying club west of the Mississippi, SPA was formed in 1952 by 4 charter members who purchased a Cessna 140. Today, there are 30 members, and the club operates a Cessna 172 and a Grumman Tiger. The club's hanger has been modernized and includes a pilot lounge/meeting space. Members are able to schedule use of the aircraft via a web-based scheduling system (Aircraftclubs.com). Our web site is salempilots.org
