About

The Schaumburg Flying Club is a not-for-profit group of aviation enthusiasts who proudly own and operate a Cessna 172S and 182S. In January of 2019 we made significant Avionics upgrades. We have added all new Garmin radios and avionics including a GTN 650 WAAS GPS, dual G5s, GTX 345 Transponder with ADS-B in/out, GNC 255 NAV/COM, GMA 345 Audio Panel. Both planes have Garmin GFC 500 Auto Pilots, which make them great cross country planes in addition to local flying. We're based at the centrally located Schaumburg Regional Airport (06C), located just outside of Chicago, IL. We are committed to maintaining a safe fleet of aircraft at reasonable prices. We comply with all ADs and Service Bulletins, and our members perform routine maintenance regularly. All of our members are fully insured under our club's policy - you won't need to pay for "renter's" insurance. Club members can check aircraft availability and make reservations over the Internet. We currently cap the membership at 22, and we have a waiting list. If you care to be put on the waiting list, go to our website and fill in the request for more info.
