About
Shen Air II is a small flying club based at the Shenandoah Valley Regional Airport (KSHD). KSHD is about 20 minutes by car from Harrisonburg and Waynesboro, and under an hour from Charlottesville. Shen Air II bylaws limit club membership to 15 people. The club owns two aircraft, a Piper Archer II and a Cherokee 6 300. Both airplanes are equipped with Garmin GTN 650 touchscreen approach certified GPS units and are hangared at KSHD. In 2022, we added a Garmin GFC500 autopilot to the Archer, along with two Garmin G5 instruments. Planes are reserved through an online calendar.
