About
Founded in 1936 as University of New Hampshire Flying Club, Skyhaven Flying Club is a not-for-profit club based at Skyhaven Airport in Rochester, New Hampshire (KDAW). The club is comprised of a wide variety of members from new Private Pilots to CFI's. Our membership includes aircraft mechanics, flight instructors, Private, Commercial and Airline Transport Pilots, holding nearly every imaginable endorsement. Our members are unified by a common desire to continuously learn about aviation, to do it in a safe and fun manner and to pass the knowledge they possess to future generations of aviators. Members currently enjoy two aircraft; a Cessna 172 which is IFR certified and equipped with Garmin GNS 430W (WAAS) avionics and a Cirrus SR20-G2 GTS, equipped with dual GNS 430W and Avidyne avionics. The Cirrus was added in 2015. A FlyThisSim TouchTrainer Simulator is available for members by subscription. It can be configured to represent either a Cessna 172 or Cirrus SR20-G2 (Avidyne) panel and controls. Additional details: http://skyhavenflyingclub.org/simulator/ January 2017: Applications are always accepted and encouraged. Unfortunately, we cannot offer memberships or training to Student Pilots at this time. Membership details: http://skyhavenflyingclub.org/
