We are an Incorporated Non profit Social organization since 1967, located at the Newport News/Williamsburg airport with 40+ members and three aircraft; by virtue of joint ownership, the cost of operating aircraft are significantly reduced from sole ownership at the expense of having to share the aircraft. We have Club meetings on the second Wednesday each month [except December which is when we have our annual meeting] in the terminal building at PHF, in the board room near the USO club. Prospective members need to come to two consecutive meetings to join, one to turn in your application, and the following month to be interviewed and voted on. Aside from that, there are few requirements for membership. People can find a copy of our Bylaws and Rules and Regulations on the club website (http://tidewaterflyingclub.net). Members must be checked out in each aircraft type (Cessna 182, Cessna 172 and a Diamond DA40). All of our aircraft are IFR-equipped.
