The Uwharrie Eagles Flying Club was formed in 1987 by a small group of flying enthusiasts who desired to share expenses and experiences of owning an aircraft. The club now has 16 members who collectively own a Cirrus SR-22 and a Piper Cherokee 235 (PA-28).
