Whether you're curious about becoming a pilot or a seasoned student working on your commercial pilot's license, Future Flyers of Iowa has a program for you. Conveniently located in central Iowa (just southwest of the Des Moines metropolitan area) at the Winterset Municipal Airport in Winterset, Iowa, Future Flyers of Iowa uses a Cessna Cardinal II 177B, a Cessna 172, a Cessna 150, and a Liberty XL2 single engine aircraft for all training levels; including Private Pilot, Instrument Rating, and Single Engine Commercial Pilot License. In addition, we use a Seneca I for multi engine training. Our aircraft are also equipped with the latest avionics and GPS instruments suitable for all flight conditions and types. At Future Flyers of Iowa , we pride ourselves on being able to offer quality instruction at an affordable price; the MOST affordable in central Iowa in fact! There is no doubt that flight training can be VERY expensive; however, we at Future Flyers of Iowa remain committed to keeping training costs down for our students while maintaining quality instruction in our privately owned modern facilities. When it comes to flight training, we choose to provide each student with a more personalized approach. We understand that everyone learns differently, and when it comes to flying, we feel that a "standard" program isn't for everyone. Though we follow an approved FAA syllabus for all levels of flight training, we also have the ability to tailor our program to meet the students needs to ensure a successful outcome is acheived.
