Pilot Instructional Center (PIC) was founded with a clear mission: create a safe, honest, supportive flight training environment where students can thrive from day one, whether they’re beginners or advancing toward aviation careers. With over 30 years of instructional experience, family aviation roots, and a commitment to integrity, safety, and student success, Pilot Instructional Center is redefining what great flight training looks like in Kansas City. Our CFIs and senior instructors are here to teach, not to time-build, and bring decades of aviation experience to every lesson. PIC was founded in response to unsafe industry practices elsewhere. Here, proper maintenance and SOPs are non-negotiable. We train students from all backgrounds, levels, and goals, providing clear communication, mentorship, and encouragement throughout the journey. PIC’s mission is to cultivate confident, capable aviators through high-quality instruction, ethical operations, and a dedication to long-term success, not shortcuts. With senior instructors who bring thousands of hours of jet and teaching time, you’ll receive personalized mentorship not found at large schools. From first solo to professional ratings, PIC offers structured, FAA-compliant training.
