The introduction of new cockpit technology into aircraft cockpits of every type may require adapting existing training methods or developing new ones to ensure that pilots can safely and effectively interact with the equipage, which may also involve assuming a different role and performing tasks in new ways. We will identify some of the new technologies that are currently being certified along with their associated intended function, and then explore potential unique training considerations.
