Abstract

Cessna Citation 560XL fatal takeoff icing accident, March 2018. Investigation of a Citation 560XL loss-of-control takeoff accident in icing conditions. NTSB found inadequate de-icing procedure execution + flight crew failure to detect the supercooled-droplet hazard. Drove revisions to AC 91-74 Pilot Guide to Flight in Icing.
