FAILURE OF THE FREE TURBINE INTERMEDIATE PINION DRIVEN GEAR AND SUBSEQUENT DISINTEGRATION OF THE FREE TURBINE ASSEMBLY.
Factual narrative
SHORTLY ATER TAKEOFF, THE HELICOPTER EXPERIENCED A COMPLETE ENGINE FAILURE. THE PILOT MADE AN EMERGENCY LANDING ONTO AN OPEN LOT.
