Factual narrative

On November 11, 2013, at 1020 coordinated universal time, a Piper PA-34, German registration D-GRCP, impacted trees while on approach to land at the Coburg/Brandensteinsebene Airport (EDQC), Coburg, Germany. The pilot and two passengers were fatally injured. The airplane was destroyed. The meteorological conditions at the time of the accident are unknown. The general aviation business flight originated from Hamburg, Germany. The accident investigation is under the jurisdiction and control of the German government.
