Factual narrative
On June 2, 2017, at 2113 coordinated universal time, a Lake LA-4-200 Buccaneer, C-GZSW, was destroyed on impact with terrain after takeoff from Muskoka Airport (CYQA), Muskoka, Ontario, Canada. After takeoff, the pilot attempted to return to the airport, and the airplane impacted terrain on a highway while in a left turn. The pilot and passenger sustained fatal injuries. The flight was destined to CYQA. This investigation is under the jurisdiction and control of Canada.
