THE DELAY IN INITIATING THE ABORTED TAKEOFF.

Factual narrative

DOOR OPENED DURING TAKEOFF ROLL. PILOT PULLED THROTTLE AND APPLIED BRAKES TO ABORT. PILOT REAPPLIED THROTTLE TO CONTINUE TAKEOFF AND THEN ASSESSED SPEED AS TO SLOW.
