Factual narrative
On January 21, 2010, a Cargolux Airlines, Boeing 747-400F, registration LX-OCV, struck the top of a maintenance van that was on the runway during CAT IIIB conditions at Luxembourg-Findel International Airport, Luxembourg. The airplane landed safely with minor damage; however, the van received severe damage. There were no injuries to the 3 crew members onboard or 2 maintenance technicians on the runway. The investigation is being conducted by the Luxembourg Administration Des Enquêtes Techniques. The NTSB has assigned an Accredited Representative to assist the investigation under the provisions of ICAO Annex 13 as the Country of Manufacture and Design of the airplane.
