N6261Z has since been reassigned. It is now registered to a different aircraft (ZIPLINE INTERNATIONAL INC P2 ZIP), which was not involved in this event.
Aircraft involved
Probable cause & findings
THE PILOT'S IMPROPER INFLIGHT PLANNING WHICH RESULTED IN LOSS OF AIRCRAFT CONTROL DUE TO WAKE TURBULENCE.
Factual narrative
WHILE CONDUCTING FORMATION AERIAL APPLICATION, CONTROL OF THE AIRCRAFT WAS LOST DURING AN ENCOUNTER WITH WAKE TURBULENCE FROM THE LEAD AIRCRAFT. ALTITUDE WAS INSUFFICIENT TO EFFECT RECOVERY. Source: NTSB Aviation Accident Database (Pre-2008 Archive) Retrieved: 2026-02-12
