Factual narrative
The pilot reported that, during an aerial application flight, the airplane hit a pole. The pilot added that he landed in a bean field after striking the pole. The airplane sustained substantial damage to the fuselage and rudder. The pilot reported that there were no preaccident mechanical failures or malfunctions with the airplane that would have precluded normal operation.
