11/5/2025 JO 7110.665A (2) All aural alarm features and/or alerts, if available, must be disabled. (3) When a non-critical fault has occurred, SAID indicates a DEGRADED state. Use of SAID is not impacted by a DEGRADED state. (4) SAIDs must not be turned off or disabled when operating in an ONLINE or DEGRADED state. (5) When a critical fault has occurred, SAID indicates an OFFLINE state. Use of SAID must be discontinued when an OFFLINE state is indicated. (6) SAID only displays ADS-B-equipped and transmitting aircraft/vehicles within the site-specific adapted area. (7) SAID aircraft identification display capabilities may vary based on the model designator and/or site-specific installation. SAID may rely solely on ADS-B transponder information to display aircraft identification if NAS flight plan information is not available. This may result in a discrepancy between SAID depicted aircraft identification and NAS flight plan identification. b. Use of SAID: (1) SAID-derived information may only be used for reference and requires confirmation via visual observation and/or pilot/operator reporting. An aircraft or vehicle’s position must not be determined solely by SAID-derived information. REFERENCE FAA Order JO 7110.65, Para 3–1–5, Vehicles/Equipment/Personnel Near/On Runways.
