General Information We issued AD 2000-24-23 on December 11, 2000. AD 2000-24-23 is very similar to AD 98-19-14 (issued September 15, 1998.) AD 98-19-14 allowed you to obtain a repair scheme from the FAA if you found cracks during the inspection. This was listed as an option based on the lack of parts availability for U.S. owner/operators from the manufacturer. Since AD 98-19-14 was issued, CENTRAIR has agreed to sell parts to U.S. owner operators, especially for continued airworthiness issues.

Clarification If you have already replaced the suspect parts called out in AD 98-19-14, compliance with AD 2000-24-23 has been accomplished.
