SAIB CE-04-79 —
What is a SAIB?
A Special Airworthiness Information Bulletin is an FAA-issued advisory — not mandatory like an AD, but worth knowing about. SAIBs typically flag service bulletins, manufacturer recommendations, or emerging issues that don't (yet) rise to AD level.

Introduction
This Special Airworthiness Information Bulletin alerts you, owners and operators of Extra Fluegzeugproduktions-und Vertriebs-GmbH models EA-300, EA-300L, EA-300S, and EA-300/200 airplanes, of the need to review the service bulletins (SB) listed below.
Background
We conducted a review of the specified Extra airplane SBs. The purpose of the review was to evaluate each SB to determine the continued airworthiness safety aspect. We considered the following options: issuing an Airworthiness Directive (AD), various forms of notices, or no further action required.
Recommendations
The SBs identified in this document were not considered appropriate for AD action at this time; however, we strongly recommend that all operators of the Extra EA-300L, EA-300S, and EA- 300/200 airplanes review their compliance of the SBs listed below.
