Introduction

This Special Airworthiness Information Bulletin (SAIB) alerts you of an airworthiness concern for Socata Model TBM 700 and TBM 850 airplanes.

Background

The Direction Générale de L'Aviation Civile (DGAC), which is the airworthiness authority for France, reports the need for owners and operators of these airplanes to have the latest revision to the maintenance manuals and flight manuals incorporated and the proper documentation up to date.

SOCATA issued Service Bulletin No. SB 70-067 dated January 99 Amdt. 11, Jan 06, which specifies the latest revision and provides instructions on doing a records check to determine the current incorporated revision level.

Recommendation

We recommend that you do the actions of SB 70- 067 dated January 99 Amdt. 11, Jan 06.
