SAIB NM-05-60 —
What is a SAIB?
A Special Airworthiness Information Bulletin is an FAA-issued advisory — not mandatory like an AD, but worth knowing about. SAIBs typically flag service bulletins, manufacturer recommendations, or emerging issues that don't (yet) rise to AD level.

Introduction
This Special Airworthiness Information Bulletin (SAIB) advises you, owners and operators of Bombardier, Inc. model CL-600-2B19 (Regional Jet series 100 & 440) (CRJ 200) series airplanes, that Bombardier has published a revised Airplane Flight Manual (AFM) procedure for Mach Trim and Stab Trim, Temporary Revision (TR) RJ/152-2, dated June 10, 2005, (attached).
Background
Bombardier issued an All Operator Message (AOM) # 870 to provide advice to the aircrew and mitigate the risk of an in-flight event. They are continuing their investigation and have now issued RJ/152-2 to Airplane Flight Manual CSP A-012 that formalizes the subject matter from AOM 870. Recommendations
We strongly recommend that you review RJ/152-2 and insert this change into the CL-600-2B19 airplane flight manuals. We have determined that an AD isn’t warranted at this time.
