Installation of Walter M601E-11 engine. Limited to airplanes made before Jan 1, 1955 (to comply to 14 CFR Part 36, Noise Standards). Installation of AVIA-Hamilton Standard VJ8.510 propeller with STC SA09862SC required. Max gross weight remains at 8000 pounds for landplane. Gross weight limit for seaplane is listed in Type Certificate Data Sheet A-815. Jet fuel limited to JetA-1, Jet A, or JP-5. Propeller electronic speed limiter unit must be installed.

What is an STC?

A Supplemental Type Certificate authorizes a major modification or alteration to an FAA-certificated aircraft. STCs are how operators legally install new avionics, change fuel systems, add floats, swap engines, etc. — every change beyond a minor modification needs one.
