Incorporate a de-icing system (as manufactured by applicant) externally on Rotol propeller spinner as an alternate to Dowty Rotol internal elements. If applied to original spinner, Montgomery Systems Tech., Inc. P/N 72196-2 will apply. If applied to a new aluminum nose spinner P/N 72196-1 will apply. Dowty Rotol Service Bulletin Section 61-170 pages 1 and 2 outlines a revised spinner de-icing system. This is a Napier external system. Approval of the A.R.B. is indicated. (Continued on page 3)

What is an STC?

A Supplemental Type Certificate authorizes a major modification or alteration to an FAA-certificated aircraft. STCs are how operators legally install new avionics, change fuel systems, add floats, swap engines, etc. — every change beyond a minor modification needs one.
