Installation of Night Vision Imaging System (NVIS) compatible infrared filters in accordance with Aero Dynamixs, Inc., Master Drawing List MDL 2563-01, Rev. IR, dated December 2, 2004, or later Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) approved revision.
What is an STC?
A Supplemental Type Certificate authorizes a major modification or alteration to an FAA-certificated aircraft. STCs are how operators legally install new avionics, change fuel systems, add floats, swap engines, etc. — every change beyond a minor modification needs one.
