Dual Installation of Universal Avionics EFI-890R EFIS on Boeing 737-300/-400 aircraft series. Installation includes 4 Flat Panel Multi Function Displays to provide a Primary Flight Display (PFD) and a Nav Display (ND) for the pilot and co-pilot, as replacement of the existing indicators, two Data Concentrator Units to interface discretes and FMS data busses, and two Vision-1 Computers that hold the terrain data base which provide Egocentric and Exocentric views on the PFD/ND respectively. This installation is in accordance with ARC Avionics Master Data List 750-053005, Rev-H, dated November 24, 2009, or later FAA approved rev's.
What is an STC?
A Supplemental Type Certificate authorizes a major modification or alteration to an FAA-certificated aircraft. STCs are how operators legally install new avionics, change fuel systems, add floats, swap engines, etc. — every change beyond a minor modification needs one.
