Upgrade of pilot and co-pilot electromechanical flight instruments (ADI and HSI) to Rogerson Kratos EFIS 520, electronic flight instrument system (EFIS) in accordance with Compliance Data List DL1769M00, Revision IR, dated December 20, 2011 or later FAA approved revision. Airplane Flight Manual Supplement 9967-0062, Revision IR, dated December 20, 2011 or later FAA approved revision, and Instructions for Continued Airworthiness 1769R33C02, Revision A, dated August 1, 2011 or later FAA accepted revision must be made available to the operator at the time of installation.
What is an STC?
A Supplemental Type Certificate authorizes a major modification or alteration to an FAA-certificated aircraft. STCs are how operators legally install new avionics, change fuel systems, add floats, swap engines, etc. — every change beyond a minor modification needs one.
