Deactivation and removal of GoGo ABS Ku-Band Antenna (FAA STC ST03191NY). In addition to system deactivation/removal, all structural provisions are also removed, redundant fastener holes in the frame are filled, stringers are reinforced (limited aircraft effectivity) and a local crown skin replacement is performed in Section 46
What is an STC?
A Supplemental Type Certificate authorizes a major modification or alteration to an FAA-certificated aircraft. STCs are how operators legally install new avionics, change fuel systems, add floats, swap engines, etc. — every change beyond a minor modification needs one.
