Factual narrative

On August 7, 1996, about 0700 central daylight time, a Grumman G-164A, N665U, registered to Masters Flying Service, operating as a 14 CFR Part 137 aerial application flight, crashed on takeoff from a private unimproved strip in the vicinity of Marks, Mississippi. Visual meteorological conditions prevailed and no flight plan was filed. The airplane sustained substantial damage. The commercial pilot reported no injuries. The flight was originating at the time of the accident. The pilot stated the airplane struck a known high spot in the runway on the takeoff roll. The nose of the airplane pitched downward and started to porpoise. The airplane went through a bean field, over a ditch, veered to the right, and nosed over coming to rest inverted.
