Installation of Civil Air Patrol UPSTAT Avionics package in the Cessna 182T including GX-60 GPS/Com, SL30 VHF Nav/Com, Artex 406 Mhz ELT, KR-21 Marker Beacon Receiver, Apollo Annunciator Control Unit, Mid-Continent Instruments MD-200 Nav Indicator, and NAT AMS-44T two channel audio panel. Installation of the avionics package must be accomplished in accordance with Yingling Aviation Master drawing List MDL2701-34350, Revision A dated September 18, 2003 or later FAA approved revision.
What is an STC?
A Supplemental Type Certificate authorizes a major modification or alteration to an FAA-certificated aircraft. STCs are how operators legally install new avionics, change fuel systems, add floats, swap engines, etc. — every change beyond a minor modification needs one.
