Installation of 500 gallon fiberglass hopper and relocated oil cooler and deletion of the alternate air inlet doors in accordance with FAA sealed Serv-Aero Engineering, Inc. Master Drawing List No. MDL 83178, dated October 26, 1978, or later FAA approved revision. P & W PT6A-34 engine installed per STC SA3237WE and FAA approved Serv-Aero Airplane Flight Manual Supplement dated January 25, 1979, are required with this installation. (S2R NORMAL CATEGORY)
What is an STC?
A Supplemental Type Certificate authorizes a major modification or alteration to an FAA-certificated aircraft. STCs are how operators legally install new avionics, change fuel systems, add floats, swap engines, etc. — every change beyond a minor modification needs one.
