Abstract
Verbatim from Embry-Riddle Scholarly Commons. Not paraphrased, not summarized.
Use of General Aviation and to support medical services is not novel. However, this paper is an attempt to establish a concept of a framework of using aviation, especially relatively low-operational cost fixed-wing aircraft as a convenient high-speed transport to bring medical staff to the rural and remote areas. Operating flight network will also be more efficient from the financial point of view - better than attracting medical personnel with high salaries. Existing regional and local airport system can be a feasible basis for airport-based medical network. This article is just an initial one and additional work needs to evaluate financial, epidemiological, and operational features of such operations
