This research project aims to deliver a reference design for a light aircraft (Helicopter or Aeroplane) solid-state flight data recorder utilising new technologies and to produce new flight data analysis software tools to contribute to flight safety through improvements in flight training and providing pro-active aircraft maintenance data, while lowering operating costs.
