Factual narrative
On May 5, 2013, about 1345 coordinated universal time (0915 local time), a Learjet Inc. 60, N119FD, was destroyed when it impacted terrain and a building while approaching Arturo Michelena Airport (SVVA), Valencia, Carabobo, Venezuela. The two crew members were fatally injured. The flight, which originated at Oscar Machado Zuloaga Airport (SVCS), Miranda, Venezuela, was being conducted under Venezuelan flight regulations. This investigation is under the jurisdiction of the government of Venezuela.
