Factual narrative
On August 30, 2014, about 1625 universal coordinated time, a Cessna 177B, Brazilian registration PT-DLA, was destroyed when it impacted the ground in a residential area shortly after takeoff from the Bacacheri Airport (SBBI), Curitiba, Brazil. The pilot and two passengers were fatally injured. One passenger was seriously injured. The personal flight was destined for the 14 Bis Airport (SSOK), Londrina, Brazil and was conducted under Brazilian flight regulations. This investigation is under jurisdiction of the Government of Brazil.
